Pakistani human rights activist kidnapped

ISLAMABAD -- A human rights activist was kidnapped in Islamabad on Friday (January 6), media reported.

Gunmen seized activist and Fatima Jinnah Women University professor Salman Haider, SAMAA reported Sunday (January 8).

Salman is known for his Urdu poetry too.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ordered Islamabad Police to accelerate their efforts to rescue Salman.
