12 suspected drug smugglers nabbed in Pakistani waters

KARACHI -- Pakistan's Maritime Security Agency (MSA) and Customs Intelligence in waters off Karachi arrested 12 suspected drug smugglers on Tuesday (December 20), Geo News reported.

The MSA and Customs officers arrested suspects and seized 100kg of crystal meth that was apparently headed to the US and Europe, the MSA said.

The crystal meth had a street value of about Rs. 1 billion (US $9.5 million), a MSA spokesman said.
