PESHAWAR -- At least three security personnel and three militants were killed recently in Pakistan.

Troops recently killed a militant commander in Notal, Balochistan, Geo News reported September 29, quoting security officials.

The para-military Rangers early September 29 in the Lyari area of Karachi killed two gang members, Geo News reported, quoting the Rangers.

Two police officers were gunned down in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) September 28, police said, according to The Nation. A single shooter killed one police officer in Peshawar, while gunmen fatally shot another in Kohat District. The one in Kohat was guarding an imambargah.

A roadside bomb September 28 in South Waziristan killed a soldier, Dawn reported.

Meanwhile, unidentified culprits recently kidnapped Abid Abdullah, executive director of the Jang Group media agency, in Peshawar, KP police official Mushtaq Khan confirmed September 29, according to Dawn.
