Pakistani Levies Force member killed; 55 suspected outlaws arrested

KARACHI -- A Levies Force member was killed in Balochistan September 26, media reported, while authorities detained 55 suspected militants and criminals nationwide.

The Levies Force member was gunned down in Gichak Panjgur, Balochistan Province, on his way to work, Dawn reported.

The para-military Rangers September 27 in Karachi thwarted a terrorism plot by seizing a large cache of arms and ammunition hidden on a rooftop, SAMAA reported, quoting the Rangers.

The Rangers arrested two suspected terrorist plotters, the spokesman said.

Police early September 27 nabbed 50 other suspected criminals and militants, including a suspected Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) member, throughout Karachi, Geo News reported.

Authorities September 26 in Multan District, Punjab Province, captured three suspects, Dunya News reported.
