Tribal elder detained for attesting Mullah Mansoor documents

QUETTA -- A tribal elder, who attested the documents of Mullah Akhtar Mansoor, the slain chief of Afghan Taliban, was detained August 30 in Balochistan's border town of Chaman, Dawn reported.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted a raid on the outskirts of Chaman town and arrested Malik Mehboob Khan Nurzai, who is an elder of the Nurzai tribe, a senior FIA official said, adding that the suspect had shifted to Quetta.

Mansoor was killed a few months ago in Chagai District of Balochistan while travelling from Iran to Quetta on Pakistani travel documents.
