PPP leader killed in Kurram Agency; 5 policemen wounded in Kalam blast

PESHAWAR -- A Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader was killed and five policemen wounded in separate incidents of violence in Kurram Agency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) July 12, media reported.

Unidentified gunmen tortured and fatally shot Hamid Turi, president of the PPP's Kurram Agency chapter, at his house in Parachinar, 24-News reported.

A remote-controlled bomb wounded five police officers in Kalam, KP, Geo News reported.

The roadside bomb exploded under their vehicle while they were on patrol, police said.
