PESHAWAR -- The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) organised a three-day-long Hunar Mela to showcase the work of local artists and artisans in Peshawar.

The main purpose of the event, held May 7-9 at PIA Planetarium, was to highlight the skills of artists and to entertain local men, women and families, according to the organisers.

Peshawar residents and visitors from all over KP attended the event, enjoying performances of traditional songs and dances, local food, and displays of handicrafts, embroidery, metalwork, stone carving, wood carving, calligraphy, pottery and other items.

Youth also took part in face painting and quiz, singing and cooking contests. They reveled in magic, juggling and puppet shows.
